Six free new sounds for Hotone Xtomp

Hotone have added an additional six sounds to the Xtomp library and, as ever, they’re totally free. They include a classic Marshall® amp simulation, an Electro-Harmonix® filter envelope emulation and a brand new time based effect that combines delay and reverb. Full details can be found below. If you’re not yet familiar with Xtomp, it’s a tiny stompbox that ‘becomes’ classic and vintage pedals and amps from a and vast ever growing library.

SUPERB retro tone.
The Superb Dual is based on the famous Supro® Dual-Tone 1624T* combo (CH 1+2, means the two preamp channels are linked in parallel). It produces the the sweet 60s "stairway" scene replica, from bell-like cleans to gritty blues.

Marshell 900
This model is an amp simulator based on the sound characteristics of the legendary Marshall® JCM900 (model 4100, CH B) * amp head. Released in 1990, it was designed to produce more gain, less noise and stainless Marshall® tone. The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator based on the sound characteristics of a Marshall® 1960A* 4x12 closed-back cabinet with four 12-inch Celestion™ G12T-75* speakers.

HK 4x12
This model is a cabinet simulator based on the sound characteristics of a Hughes & Kettner® CC412A* cabinet with four 12-inch Celestion™ Greenback™* speakers.

Q Filter
Q Filter is based on the famous Electro-Harmonix® Doctor Q* envelope filter pedal. This is a simple but useful funk box is just tons of fun. The BASS switch boosts the low end when you need to get that mojo working.

Triplet
This model combines "Phantom" and "Plate", allowing you to use two effects simultaneously (Delay + Reverb). The delay has a sweep filter affecting the delay repeats, which creates a unique sweeping delay sound. The delay time range is 50ms-1000ms. The reverb simulates the reverb sound coming from a vintage steel plate reverberator. Use the Mix and the High Damp knobs for detailed reverb control.

Formula Drive
The Formula Drive is based on the famous Mesa/Boogie® F-100™ combo (CH 2, contour off), providing a well-balanced, smooth American-style drive. It has the rich, combination of both vintage and modern. Like the original, the subtle 3-band EQ performs more like a gain control than a tone control. The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator based on the sound characteristics of the original Mesa/Boogie® F-100™ combo* cabinet with two 12-inch Celestion™ Vintage 30™*speakers.

The new sounds are available as a free update the the Xtomp app which can be downloaded from here
