This month’s collection of new sounds for Hotone’s Xtomp is specifically for bass players. The five new patches include Ampeg and Big Ben cab simulations, an Alembic bass preamp emulation and two original combination bass effects. They are all available as a free library update for Xtomp users.
Xtomp is a chameleon guitar and bass stompbox that ‘becomes’ classic and vintage effects, amps and cabinet by loading simulations onto the pedal via a smartphone / tablet app. Find out more here

1.Big Bang 1×18
This model is a cabinet simulator based on the sound characteristics of a SWR®Big Ben 1x18* bass cabinet with one 18-inch SWR® custom speaker.

2.Ampage Classic
The original rock bass sound.
The Ampage Classic is based on the legendary Ampeg® SVT* bass amp head.Born in 1969, the rich sounding all-tube monster basically defined thebass sound of rock and roll from then on. We modified the Frequency switch with a modern Ampeg®* design for more tonal flexibility.
The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator based on the sound characteristics of an Ampeg® SVT-810E* 8x10 bass cabinet with eight 10-inch speakers.

3.Alchemy Pre
The legendary preamp is here! Alchemy Pre is based on the legendary Alembic™F-2B* rack-mount bass preamp. It recreates the rich, magical tube sound that made the F-2B* a classic. This treatment is not just for bass– it’s awesome on guitars (think Gilmour) and more!
This preamp does not have a cab simulator.

4.Dynamic Basso
Dynamic Basso is a fine-tuned envelope filter for bassists. The 3-knob control makes it simple to use. The sound is smooth, organic, and full of pure analog flavor that makes you and your bass say “wow”!
5.Refining
This model combines "Alchemy Pre" and "90 Phaser", allowing you to use two effects simultaneously (Bass Preamp + Phaser).
The preamp is based on the legendary Alembic™F-2B* rack-mount bass preamp. It recreates the rich, magical tube sound that makes the F-2B* a classic.
The phaser is based on the legendary MXR® M101 Phase 90* pedal. It recreates the omnipotent warm, rich analog phase sound.
