This free update to the Xtomp sound library brings three new patches: An amp drive sound based on the Grindrod® Pendragon PG20C* combo; an emulation of the Fender® Blackface Dual Showman® 2x15 cab; and a pedal tone that simulates the classic Clapton “Cream” sound - which needs to be heard…
These three presets join the huge and ever growing library of sounds for the Hotone Xtomp stompbox; a hybrid pedal that “becomes” any one of over a hundred vintage and classic amp, pedal and cabinets at the touch of a button. Find out more about Xtomp here (and it's little brother Xtomp Mini)
More information on each sound:
The Pendragon Drive is based on the Boost channel of the boutique Grindrod® Pendragon PG20C* combo, a masterpiece designed by tube amp guru Steve Grindrod, former chief designer of VOX®* & Marshall®*. This amp gets you everything you love about British tone, but even more warm and expressive. Simple controls can quickly take you to the legendary and current UK rock’n’roll scenes. Turn up, stand back and you’re ready to rock!
The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator, based on the sound characteristics of the original Grindrod® Pendragon PG20C* combo cabinet with two 10-inch Grindrod® custom speakers.
This is a special tone simulator that simulates the legendary “Woman Tone” created by Eric Clapton during his Cream years. The tone is thick, sustaining, and kazoo-like but maintains note definition and has ample attack.
