If you’ve been keeping up with the free additions to the Xtomp this year, you’ll know that Hotone’s little chameleon stompbox is injected with a new selection of free sounds every month.
The final installment of this year includes emulations of Ampeg* ENGL*, Bad Cat* and Dr. Z* amps; Electro-Harmonix* and ISP* pedals; and an original combination reverb effect called Deep Dive. You can find more details about all seven new sounds below.
If you’re not familiar with Xtomp, it’s a Bluetooth controlled pedal that ‘becomes’ vintage and classic effects pedals, amp heads and cabinets, which are loaded in from an enormous (and ever growing) library of emulations.
Ampage Flip

The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator based on the sound characteristics of an Ampeg® PF-115HE* 1x15 bass cabinet with one 15-inch speaker.
Powerengle Lead
The Powerengle Lead is based on the lead channel (Channel 4) of the famous ENGL® Powerball II E645/2* amp head. Truly ideal for modern rock and metal, it features an ultra-TIGHT low end, a huge amount of gain, sharp clarity, and great dynamics. The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator based on the sound characteristics of ENGL® Pro E412VSB* 4x12 closed back cabinet with four 12-inch Celestion™ Vintage 30™*speakers.
Doctor 38
The Doctor 38 is based on one of Dr. Z®*'s most enduring designs: the famous Dr. Z® Maz 38 Sr.* combo. This amp has the kind of clean headroom that makes it a great pedal platform, yet as a standalone it is incredibly versitle, granting access to both American twang and UK Class A chime. The right output features a fine-tuned cab simulator, based on the sound characteristics of the original Dr. Z® Maz 38* cabinet with two 12-inch Dr. Z® custom speakers.
Recaller
Like syrup on waffles. This model is based on the legendary Electro-Harmonix® Deluxe Memory Man® Echo/Chorus/Vibrato* pedal, the godfather of analog delay. Dig in and see how one pedal can fill in everything that's still missing in your hit song. The max delay time is 550ms. Hold the footswitch to engage the Tap Tempo function. In Tap Tempo mode, the LED around the footswitch will pulse to indicate the delay time you set. Hold the footswitch again to disengage.
Noise Destroyer
Adios annoying hum! Noise Destroyer is based on the famous ISP® Decimator™* noise gate pedal. Like the original, the extremely easy-to-use Noise Destroyer gets you smooth, ripple-free noise tracking and keeps your signal pristine.
Bad Kitty 1x12
This model is a cabinet simulator based on the sound characteristics of a Bad Cat®* 1x12" cabinet with a 12-inch Bad Cat®* custom speaker.
Deep Dive
This model combines "Oceandeep" and "Plate", allowing you to use two effects simultaneously (Reverb + Reverb). Oceandeep immerses you in deep reverb goodness, and Plate simulates the sound from a vintage steel plate reverberator.
